I AM
Rylee Donovan
I am currently an undergraduate student at Worcester State University in Massachusetts. With a major in psychology and two minors of art and criminal justice, my goal is to become an art therapist working with troubled youth. My junior year of high school art became my biggest outlet and what I devoted most of my time to. My interest in psychology and art became a perfect fit. I hope to show people how therapeutic art can be and make a positive impact in the lives of those suffering from mental illness.
Outside of my professional goals I continue to create art for my own personal expression. From painting to wood burning, I'm open to experimenting with any medium. Working with pastels has been my favorite thus far. I have had two of my works in my college’s art show and won the Superior Achievement in Art Appreciation Award from my high school. Although I haven't found my direct voice in the art world yet, I believe I have made a great beginning for myself. |
